Steve Park drove the No. 3 Chevrolet owned by Dale and Teresa Earnhardt in 1997. It marked Park's first full year in the NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division, and he made an incredible impact. An injury in the first part of the season sidelined Steve till his return at the Brickyard 400. It was not a good way to start in the Winston Cup Series driving the Pennzoil No. 1 car. The native of New York State had the best season ever for a NASCAR Busch Series rookie. He racked up three wins, 20 top-10 finishes, and nearly $700,000 in prize money. He ran away with the Raybestos Rookie of the Year award. For 1998, Park will head to the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. He will drive the No. 1 (formerly No. 14) - Dale Earnhardt Incorporated's first attempt in NASCAR Winston Cup Series racing. Park came from the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour where he had 15 wins, 22 poles and won the Most Popular Driver award in 1995. He's also won two NASCAR Busch North Series races in only nine starts. He won the pole at Watkins Glen driving for Joe Nemechek in only his second-ever NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series attempt.
Pennzoil 1

Picked up first career NASCAR Busch Series win at Nashville in April, 1997.
Won three races, finished third in points, and was named Raybestos Rookie of the Year in NASCAR Busch Series in 1997.
Won first Winston Cup Race at Glen Watkins Glen, in August of 2000 and finished 11th in the Winston Cup Point Standings.
