1996 MDSOG (Mitsubishi Diamond
Star Owners Group) DSM vs Stealth/3KGT shootout
Photos from the 1996 1st
Annual MDSOG DSM/3K and Stealth shootout. This event was a day of drag racing at Temple
Academy (Temple, TX) followed by a day of autocross Mineral Wells, TX. My Stealth
and I decided to make the trip down to Texas from Dover, Delaware. This was the first time
either of us had been west of the Mississippi. The trip was 1600 miles one-way and took 2
days to travel. We ended up just beating Bob Fontana for
the long-distance award.

![]() My best timeslip from the days event. Not bad for a car with 110K miles on it. BTW, I made 12 passes that day and left with a rattling throw-out bearing for the 1600 mile 2-day trek back to Delaware. |
